The clock is ticking fast away
in hot pursuit of judgment day,
look around and you will know
it soon will be your time to go;
"so stop and smell the roses."
You always had a real good time
while spending each and every dime,
don't curl up with memories now
of pain that's etched deep in your brow;
"go out and smell the roses."
I'll wait for you on distant shore
with all the friends you've known before,
a brave good-by to those who stay
you'll greet them all again someday;
it's your time now; "smell the roses."
